Welcome to Grand Valley High School, the home of the Fighting Cardinals. The new Grand Valley High School was finished in September, 2002. It is located approximately 200 miles west of Denver and 45 miles east of Grand Junction off Interstate 70 in Parachute, Colorado.

Grand Valley High School will be moving forward with implementing standard based education during the 2010-2011 school year.  This means that students will be graded on a four point rubric toward each standard for all of their assignments and assessment, please see the link for the Content Scoring Rubric.  Grades will be reported out on a four point scale with increments of a tenth and will no longer be reported using an A-F scale.  We will be holding a parent/community night to talk about this process and what can be expected from the Standard Based Education on Tuesday, August 31, 2010  at 7:00 pm, following the parent meeting for fall sports.
